Designing Materials that Communicate Program

The production materials required for information communication, such as presentations, bulletins, and public relations and sales promotion materials, are becoming more diverse, and there are more and more opportunities for in-house production within an organization. If the members involved in production can create materials that "get the message across," the organization's information dissemination will accelerate.

Specific issue resolution

We can solve the "problems" that everyone in your organization has.

Concerns of those who are in charge of the organization

  • I wish the members of the organization understood the "thoughts," "character," and "strategy" of the organization and shared and disseminated information correctly.
  • I know that the material produced by the members of the organization, is not good, but I don't know how to advise them.
  • The amount of PR information coming up from members of the organization is too much. I would like to see more effort put into organizing the information, but even if I tell them, they don't get the message.

Concerns of those who create documents

  • I am very anxious about whether the presentation materials I have created are communicated to others.
  • I want to do something about presentation materials that I don't feel are getting the message across.
  • Too much time is spent on creating documents, which interferes with other work...
I don't know how to work efficiently to meet deadlines.

Outcomes after the course

What Morisawa, a long-time provider of technology for professionals, can do.

As a font manufacturer that continues to research and develop typefaces, Morisawa has long provided training for professional designers in the art of laying out text in a way that is easy for others to understand (typography).
In today's business environment, anyone can easily create documents and materials using applications. However, by utilizing the perspective of their typographical skills and devising layouts, it is possible to create documents that are easier to understand.
This program is customized for business people, not professional designers, so it is suitable for a wide range of employees, from new hires to seasoned professionals. The skills learned can be immediately applied at work, and we have received many reports of real results.

Training Contents

Learn the design fundamentals of creating easy-to-communicate materials in a logical way

In addition to learning the fundamentals of design in a systematic manner, the program aims to quickly solidify skills by outputting what is learned during the training.

STEP 1

Content finalized based on interviews

Training content will be customized based on discussions with the client.
We will ask what kind of materials the prospective participants usually prepare, what kind of materials they would like to brush up through this training, and their current sense of issues.
(MORISAWA BIZ+, a service that allows the use of UD fonts optimized for the office application environment, will be provided for each participant.)

STEP 2

Training Implementation

Inputs:Original lectures will be given to acquire basic knowledge of design and layout that "conveys" rather than "communicates".
Output:After the lecture, participants will remake their own materials (or templates provided by Morisawa).

STEP 3

Submission of homework and advice sheets

Each participant will receive a corrected advice sheet.
We will answer your questions after the training is over at no additional charge. (about 1 month)

If you have any questions about this program, please feel free to contact us.

Universal design fonts provided in training

It's a mistake to assume that if you can read a font, everyone else can, too.

Morisawa's Universal Design (UD) fonts and UD typefaces were developed based on the concept of making letter forms easy to understand, text easy to read, and difficult to misread.
It can be used not only for commercial items such as indoor and outdoor signs and websites, but also for a wide range of content that is viewed by a wider audience, such as presentations and postings created by business people these days.

At times, textual information contains important information that may affect the property and lives of the recipients. In the training, participants will learn how to use UD fonts, which are designed to be easy to read for a wider audience, and how to create documents from the viewpoint of the recipient.
