Morisawa exhibited at the "MTDDC Meetup TOKYO 2025" held at the LINE Yahoo! Corporation headquarters on November 29, 2025.
This was the first time we exhibited at this exhibition, and we exhibited at a booth and participated in a session. At our booth, we introduced the "Morisawa Fonts Web Font Plan," which improves the display quality and meets the needs of expression required for websites. We explained the improvements from the previous plan, as well as its mechanism, scope of use, and specific examples of how it can be used in production, and explained the benefits it brings in terms of both expression and operation.
Our employees also took to the stage to explain the importance of typography, using examples to show how font changes can affect the impression and impact on the worldview.
From an era where subset distribution was the norm, we are moving towards a web environment that requires more flexible and stable operation. This report will provide you with information on the evolution of font technology, as well as Morisawa's perspective on "perspectives necessary for future web production."
