Students will be asked to create and submit a flyer for a fictional beach clean-up event as homework beforehand. On the day of the event, Shibuya will provide comments on the selected assignments.
The first session in August will involve participants summarizing the concept of a flyer using the "CITRS" steps from last month's seminar and drawing a rough draft by hand.
Thank you to everyone who submitted challenges!

We asked them to come up with a flyer design based on an invitation card motif.

Using an invitation as a motif is an interesting idea. It might be even more convincing if it was conveyed as "We want everyone to come to the clean ocean."

I was surprised because I never thought my work would be featured. I was able to receive professional comments from the instructor, which has encouraged me in the future.
Shibuya-san gave us some tips on how to visually translate the "Idea" of the Citrus Sheet!
Masuda-san
The main visual is of me walking barefoot on the beach.

I thought the message of "Walking barefoot on the beach with peace of mind" was great as it really helped me imagine what kind of future awaits us once the beach is cleaned up.
A4 size is not a large paper, so if you have a picture that focuses on the feet, it will be easier to see at a glance.

I was surprised because I never thought I would be featured! And I was also impressed by the careful advice they gave me for each question!
Not only did they give us specific advice, such as focusing on the feet, to create a flyer that would convey the message, but they also provided us with illustrations that Morisawa could use as reference, making it easy to visualize. Thank you very much.
We also received some advice on how to proceed with production while getting a sense of the size!

They sent us their concerns about effective layout methods.

In flyers with little information, it is possible to place the information you want to stand out in the center, but there is a risk that it will get buried in a flyer with a lot of information.
Shibuya gave us a detailed explanation of the "ZFN Law" as a solution and how to utilize it!

I was impressed by the "ZFN Law" that you taught me when you selected my rough draft. I wanted to know how to effectively layout the information we want people to read. I also found the professional comments on the size of the text and photos very helpful!
Kokajisan
It was created with a West Coast style, which is one of the recent trends.

By incorporating a West Coast theme and a Californian vibe and marine aesthetic, I think anyone can easily associate it with the "beautiful ocean." The rough sketch is also good, allowing you to imagine the finished product.

I was able to discover new ideas and get advice from a perspective I hadn't thought of on my own, and the advice I received helped me to bring out the best in my work, which really boosted my motivation. You also provided me with materials, which were very helpful in creating the design! Thank you very much.
At the school, we were given a lot of explanation about designs that are in the style of the West Sea coast!
