An art festival will be held at Tama Art University's Hachioji campus for three days starting on November 3, 2017.

The Tama Art University Art Festival Executive Committee Public Relations Department is constantly updating the font environment.MORISAWA PASSPORTThey have standardized the academic edition and are continuing their production activities. This year, students have also created the Morisawa advertisement page to be included in the art festival pamphlet.

We spoke to Okawahara-san (second from the left in the photo) from the Public Relations Department, who was in charge of the design, about the thoughts he put into the art festival and how he created the pages.

The theme of this year's festival is "Unusual Tausual"
It's pronounced... "Unusual Taujuaru."

The everyday lives of us Tama Art University students may seem like a series of extraordinary experiences to those outside the school. The art festival is a special three days where the extraordinary and the ordinary blend together. We hope that you will enjoy this year's art festival freely and with the feeling that you are playing a game.

 

In this ad, we have expressed the worldview of the game in line with the theme and the overall atmosphere of the booklet. We hope that choosing a font will have the same fun as the excitement of playing a game.

For Okawahara, a Tama Art University student, choosing a font is an everyday experience, but for many people it may be something out of the ordinary. I think the ad page is a perfect fit for this year's theme! I hope that the font sensitivity switch of the students who see this page at the art festival will be "ON"!
