Hello! I'm Saeka Uno from the Kansai Moripass Club.

2month18Announcement of the event "Design Work from the Perspective of Typefaces" to be held on the 20th!!

The fonts you use every day are actually chosen based on your personal preference, aren't they?
We believe that selecting a typeface is an important step in conveying information to people.

I want to know how to choose a font!
"I want to try practical design!"
"I want to interact with professors from other universities!"

Ichiro Funakoshi
1994
After graduating from the Kyoto City University of Arts, Department of Design,ATAFrom producing advertising for department stores to original brandVIHe also serves as art director for new store openings.2003Since 2000, at Sony Creative Works Inc. (now merged into Sony Corporation), he has been involved in the design of packaging and graphics for electronics and game-related products for Sony Corporation and Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.VI, logo production, etc.2008Since 2010, he has been involved in a variety of design projects while also working in education at Kyoto City University of Arts, where he is currently an associate professor in the visual design department.

Toru Sakano
Graphic designer. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts and Gifu Prefectural International Academy of Media Arts and Sciences (now the Institute of Advanced Media Arts and Sciences). Prior to his current position, he worked at Mitsubishi Research Institute, Nakagaki Design Office, and as a freelancer. Notable works include art direction for the "Tokyo University of the Arts Graduate School of Film and New Media Animation Department Graduation Exhibition," illustration design for the "Phylogenetic Tree Mandala Series," and illustration design for the "The34He has worked on artwork for the 2015 Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery, book design for "Tracing Back the Phylogenetic Tree to Reveal the History of Evolution," design for "Bijutsu Techo," and many other book designs. He is currently an associate professor in the Visual Design Department at Kanazawa College of Art, a part-time lecturer at Kyoto City University of Arts, and a part-time lecturer in the Media Design Course at Nagoya Zokei University.

Target: Students currently enrolled in art universities and vocational schools
(Students from general schools who are interested in fonts and letters are also welcome to participate.)
Number of participants: 30 (If there are many applicants, a lottery will be held)
Participation fee: Free
