Q. What kind of creative activities do you do?
I design a wide range of media, from web to print, with a focus on typography.
Q. The moment when the font's sensitivity was turned on
I think the switch was turned on when I first used a Mac and saw beautiful typefaces like Helvetica and Hiragino in my hands. Since then, I've been turned on every time I see various letters around town.
Q. What is your favorite Morisawa font and why?
"Gothic MB101".
An honor student utility player.
Q. What do you think of the teachers at this school?
Having reliable teachers in a variety of fields makes it fun to receive different advice from each of them.
All of the teachers are unique and friendly, so you can feel free to talk to them.
Q. The moment the switch turns "OFF"
It's when I'm watching a baseball game, which I've loved since I was little. Nowadays, I can watch it on my smartphone, so I enjoy watching it while taking a bath.
Q. What would you like to challenge yourself with in the future? What are you interested in?
I would like to create a design system using typography, from digital media such as the web to analog media such as paper, and even street signs. I also love Western typefaces, so I would like to explore Western typesetting and mixed Japanese and Western typography. I am looking forward to trying out this year's new typeface, A1 Gothic, mixed with Citrine.
