Workshop & Talk Show "Jiyuu Jizai" to be held on January 28th, 2018!

Hello! I'm Tokunaga, a member of the Moripass Club. Starting today, we at the Moripass Club will also be writing this blog.

This time, we would like to announce the first event to be held as part of Moripass Club's activities!
The event is called "Workshop & Talk Show: Jiyujizai."

Our guests will be graphic designer Daijiro Ohara and art artist Kohei Sekigawa!

Daijiro Ohara
Born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1978. Graphic designer. After graduating from the Department of Fundamental Design at Musashino Art University in 2003, he founded omomma. With typography as his core, he works on editorial, CI, advertising art, package design, etc., and also develops numerous projects that explore new perceptions of words and letters through exhibitions and workshops.

Kohei Sekigawa
Born in 1990. Graduated from the Special Curriculum Printmaking Course in the School of Art and Design at the University of Tsukuba in 2013.
His major group exhibitions include "BankART Life V - Sightseeing" (BankART NYK, 2017), "SICF18 PLAY" (Spiral, 2017), and "Azamino Contemporary vol.7 - Not a single bad premonition" (Yokohama Civic Gallery Azamino, 2016). His major solo exhibitions include "figure / out" (Guardian Garden, 2017).

The members are discussing various plans to play with letters and experience the freedom and fun of letters. In future blog posts, we plan to provide more detailed information about the event and dig deeper into the guests, so that everyone will want to come to the event! Please look forward to it!

Entries are accepted from today until Saturday, January 13, 2018!

Location: Morisawa Inc. Tokyo Head Office (Iidabashi), 2-27 Shimomiyabicho, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo
Guests: Daijiro Ohara and Kohei Sekigawa
Target: Students currently enrolled in art universities and vocational schools
(Students from general schools who are interested in fonts and letters are also welcome to participate.)
Number of participants: 30 (If there are many applicants, a lottery will be held)
Participation fee: Free
